I am back/Camping trip.
Alright, I'll see if I can get this
going again. I'd like to get some more "stuff" on here, but ohhhhh
where is the time??
Our CAMPING TRIP
We decided we needed to go camping
before Summer was over. Boy was it a disaster. First of all, we
couldn't find a campsite with any running water or even a bathroom.
Can you imagine telling three girls that they need to "squat" to
use the potty.
Miette was pretty miserable too. Not her pretty self, that is for sure.
We did have fun though. Eric and the girls got to ride the Quads, and I got to relax. I even brought some yarn and my hooks with me to crochet a bit. We met a nice couple from Roseburg out to ride too. Saturday evening, as we were getting ready for dinner, there was a swarm of tiny little nat like bugs. There were so many, I had to fan a paper plate close to the food we were preparing to keep as many bug out of our food as possible. We were ready to pack up then (and probably should have) but we decided the bugs would go away after dark when the bats came out. Well, the bugs did go away, but the bats didn't come out. Yep.... it started to rain! It was too late to start packing up everything then, so we put everything we could back in the van and headed to bed. Rained most of the night. About 6am we got up, loaded the girls in the car, and gathered up the sleeping bags and tents. What a mess. The girls were tired and dirty. Miette just wanted to go home!
Needless to say, I think we have done our share of camping. Next time, we will just find a hotel!
